Who Is Bom?

Bom is a small hero with a big heart and an even bigger blast radius.

He’s cheerful, curious, and fearless, sometimes a little too fearless. If there’s a wall in the way, Bom doesn’t look for a door. He makes one.

He’s not the biggest or the fastest, and he definitely isn’t the most careful. But when the fuse is lit and the troublemakers close in, Bom never backs down. He grins, plants a bomb, and gets ready for the show.

Where Bom Came From

Bom was born from a love of classic cartoons, the bouncy, rubber-hose characters of the 1930s, mixed with the explosive fun of classic maze games.

We wanted a hero who felt playful and timeless: someone you’d smile at the moment you see him, but who’s also ready for action. His round shape, big expressions, and springy movement are all inspired by that golden age of animation.

To fit BoomBoo’s tilted, storybook-style world, every frame of Bom is drawn from a slightly raised angle. When he runs across the board, it feels like you’re watching a little cartoon play out on your tabletop.

A Few Things You Should Know About Bom

  1. He loves a good boom. The bigger, the better.
  2. He counts his bombs very carefully. Supplies are limited, and Bom has learned that the hard way.
  3. He’s a bit clumsy. Sometimes he’s a little too close when things go off. He always bounces back with a smile.
